Bursting at the Seams

"Baby, you are the world!"

The summer before I married Hugh, I moved back home before the big day in September. I took over McCall's room right next to my dad's. Every morning, my dad LOVED watching CMT while he got ready for work (my dad has always really enjoyed music and in recent years country is one of his favorites.) He especially liked this Brad Paisley music video, "The World". He would often wait to leave for work until after it came on, although he denied this when I called him out. And many times he kept telling me that I had to see this video. He talked a lot about how much he like this video and how cute the little girl starring in it is. Finally, one morning I was awake when it came on and I sat with my dad, on his bed, watching Brad Paisley sing this charming song. And after watching this music video I realized why my dad liked it so much....he has three daughters of his own. Three daughters he sacrifices so much for...and shows us that we are his world. This video now brings tears when I watch it because I think about that morning sitting with my wonderful dad and realizing how much he loves me and my two sisters.

That's alright...that's okay. When you don't feel important, honey

all I've got to say...is to the world, you may be just another girl.

But, to me, baby, you are the world.
