We're all a bit {a lot} tired these days.

And somehow, today...I was able to get Ruby and Hank down for naps at the same time. Thank goodness for the small feats in life.

I love this girl.

...And her funny obsession with photo booth. She can navigate it all on her own and likes finding the fun backgrounds. I also love how she randomly came up to me tonight, gave me a hug, and said, "I love you, mom." I'd say she is the perfect mix of spunky and sweet (but I may be a bit biased).

Hugh is gone on a scout camp tonight and usually when Hugh is gone for a night I like to find something "fun" to do to make the evening go faster. I had hopes of making it up to Park City tonight because the weather and scenery have been gorgeous...but we ended up just chilling at home (poor Hank is not feeling so hot after his immunizations today). Ruby, Hank, and I cuddled up together and watched "Mars Needs Moms" and then ate some leftovers...not real exciting, but I realized how nice it is to just stay home and enjoy my kids. Earlier I was feeling a little bummed we didn't have grand plans, but after our quiet little evening...I wouldn't have had it any other way. I can always use a reminder to slow down, relax, and enjoy the ride. Tonight was one of them.

At home with Hank.

Just minding his own business, enjoying his toy....

...then, BAM! Big sis decides she wants in on the action.

And lately, big sis Ruby finds the need to call her parents by their first names. This morning Hank and I were enjoying some early morning quiet time when I heard Ruby's cute little voice yell, "Hugh [pause]....Hugh [pause]....Hugh!" I went into her room to inform her that "Hugh" had already gone to school. She sure misses her dad these days...he's been quite busy with school this semester.

Has it already been 2 months?

Ruby at two months...not quite as chunky as her brother

A Family Day.

{by the time we got around to family pictures, Ruby was no longer wearing her coordinating outfit...oh, well}

We blessed our sweet Hank this past Sunday. A true treasure for our little family...and I'm so glad we had both our families there to help us celebrate Hank's coming into this world. There is nothing sweeter than a father's blessing to his child. We love you, Henry Scott...you bring a tender spirit to our family.

{Henry's blue socks were a handmade gift given to Hughie}

I'm so grateful for all our loved ones who spent the day with us...(wish I had a pic of everyone)

{Grandma Suzi and Cousin Alex}

{Grandma Marilee}

{Aunt Mal and Aunt McCall}

{Grandpa and Grandma VW}

{Nana and Uncle Will}

{Grandpa Scott....Hank's namesake}

{Cute Thomas}

{And this handsome fella...baby Gray. Hank's two week older cousin. Pretty special to have two little babes at family functions.}

I love my sisters.

And enjoyed spending the entire weekend with them. The combination of great company, delicious food (thanks Mal for the panini's), and inspiring conference talks, really gave me the lift my tired self has needed. Although I'm still tired, I have been re-energized to take on another week of motherhood. I love the Gospel and I love my family.

Love this smile. Love this kid.

...even if he does keep me up at night.
