"Mommy? I wan cereal"
{Ruby taking a nap one day}
Ruby's new bedtime ritual...stalling. She gets in her bed, I lay next to her, we read a few books, and then it begins.
Ruby: Mommy? I wan cereal
Mom: No, Ruby, it's time for bed
Silence
Ruby: Mommy? I wan wager
Mom: Ruby, you just had water...go to bed
Silence
Ruby: Mommy? I wan rag ann
Mom: You want Raggity Ann? Okay, I will get her for you.
I proceed to get Raggity Ann from Ruby's shelf, and bring the doll to Ruby.
Once the doll is in Ruby's hands, she squints her eyes, shakes her head, and motions for me to put Raggity Ann back.
Mom: You want Raggity Ann back on the shelf?
Ruby: Yea (as she nods her head vigorously)
Ruby: I wan dad yay down
Mom: HUGH! Ruby wants you.
Then Hugh comes in and lays down with us.
And after much tossing, turning, and bouncing around...she's out. And so are we.
